Images from the San Dimas Fire on November 6, 2020. These have been highly compressed for viewing on a mobile device, and the early morning shots have had a great deal of noise reduction applied.

It's not good when you're awakened by helicopters passing over your house at 4-something in the morning. It's not good when you finally open your eyes and see an orange glow outside the window.

I'm probably going to miss someone here - I apologize in advance. Thanks go out to all those who fought this fire in the air and on the ground from:

La Verne Fire Department, L.A. County Fire Department, U.S. Forest Service Firefighters, Cal Fire, L.A. City Fire, Siller Helicopters, Helicopter Transport Service and Croman Corporation.

Also posthumous thanks to Igor Sikorsky and his perseverance in the development of the helicopter.

I've read that three firefighters on the ground were injured. They are in my thoughts. Please keep them in yours. Whatever they make, they don't make enough.

Unlike the other galleries, these images are not available for sale. They haven't been processed for printing - just (mobile) viewing.
